Having been dissatisfied with the previous management company who kept doing risk assessments, etc but not a lot of actual work on the Close, we were looking for another company that could action all the things that needed immediate attention and to put contracts in place to manage the long term appearance of the Close. These tasks included weed killing and re-sanding of the brick weave of the communal roadway, replacing bulbs in the street lights around the roadway, completely cutting back and regenerating the central bed and grass on the central “roundabout and then setting up a gardener with a contract to maintain the bed, initiating a new contract for management of the electric gates and providing new residents with gate fobs and upgrading existing fobs, cleaning leaves and detritus from the drains, repair of the loose brick weave, administering contracts for accountancy, risk assessment etc and calculating the charges to be made in agreement with the Directors for each household on an annual basis with an annual review of contracts and costs for the next year.
I approached Natasha and Jon and provided them with a job description. In a meeting with 2 of 3 directors we agreed to appoint Tatton Kelly. We have not regretted this at all. The immediate improvement in the Close was obvious with one resident telling me that “ I don’t know how you did it but the new management firm is fantastic – look at the difference.” The new residents also felt supported and were very pleased with the help they got with the fobs for the electric gates as this had been a problem for them.
